Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Human Resources People Relations Partner Specialist I to join the HR team, providing hands-on employee relations support, coaching and policy guidance to program managers and staff across VOALA sites.

This role focuses on front-line interactions, investigations, staffing facilitation, training, and acting as a liaison to position the HR function as a strategic partner for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of HR work with focus on employee relations, grievances, interactive processes, and discipline.
• Experience handling employee concerns and facilitating investigations.
• Ability to train and coach leaders on policy and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site HR support for assigned programs and program staff.
• Facilitate recruiting and staffing needs in collaboration with program managers.
• Conduct workplace investigations and address employee concerns.
• Coach leaders on policy implementation and performance management.
• Support audits and ensure documentation is organized and complete.
