Job summary

Canopy Aerospace & Defense is seeking a Manager, Human Resources Operations to design and run the HRIS, ensure data integrity, and lead cross‑functional HR workflows in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This individual contributor role reports to the Director, Human Resources and partners with Payroll, IT, and Finance.

You will own HRIS configurations, integrations, and release management, while driving process improvements and leveraging AI tools to reduce manual work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a 4‑year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience owning an HRIS and acting as system owner or primary administrator.
• Experience leading at least one full HRIS implementation or major reconfiguration.
• Experience integrating HRIS with applicant tracking, background check vendors, benefits carriers.
• Strong Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own HRIS configurations, workflows, security, permissions, and release management.
• Lead integrations between HRIS and connected systems (ATR, benefits, IT provisioning).
• Partner with Payroll to design HR vs Payroll workflows and controls.
• Perform root cause analysis to fix process and system issues.
• Design and build HR processes and lifecycle workflows across the organization.
• Manage data governance standards and data integrity audits.
• Develop HR dashboards and reporting for leadership and Finance.
• Train HR team and leaders on new processes and systems.
• Apply AI tools to HR workflows to reduce manual work.
