A high school diploma or equivalent( GED ) and clerical or administrative experience. A bachelor’sdegree may be substituted for the required work experience.
Two (2) years of customer service,administrative support, Human Resources, higher education, oroffice operations experiencepreferred. Experience supporting onboarding activities,financial/budget support, employmentdocumentation, recordsadministration, mandatory training compliance, orother Human Resources operational functions preferred.
Human Resources Specialist (AG05/61122722/ FTE -S01203P), full-timeposition with benefits. SC State Pay Grade: GEN06. Salary range:$37,944.00 (minimum) – $49,266.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours areMonday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special schedulingneeds of the university.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in records management anddata entry. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritizecompeting responsibilities. Ability to communicate professionallywith employees, applicants, departments, and external constituents.Ability to interpret and follow established procedures related toonboarding employment verification, records administration, andcompliance-related activities.
