George Mason University seeks an HR Specialist to support the Costello College of Business HR team. You will handle graduate assistant, student, and federal work-study hiring, onboarding, and payroll coordination, while maintaining accurate records and helping with process improvements.

You will coordinate onboarding communications, assist with awards and recognition programs, and ensure timely HR actions across departments, reporting to HR leadership and faculty.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience providing HR, administrative, payroll, hiring, onboarding, or records support.
• Experience maintaining confidential records and coordinating multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Experience supporting HR projects and creating Microsoft Forms or dynamic forms.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate GA hiring from posting to onboarding, including documentation and budgeting.
• Manage NSW/SW/ Federal Work Study hiring processes and onboarding steps.
• Coordinate onboarding for new employees and supervisors, provide welcome materials and guidance.
• Support HR projects, document workflows, and implement process improvements.
• Provide backup support for recruitment, PD updates, and scheduling tracking.
