Job summary

Oneida Health in Oneida, NY, is seeking a Manager of HR Operations to keep the HR department running smoothly and to partner with leaders across the organization. You will help shape an exceptional employee experience from onboarding to milestones.

The role requires 3+ years in HR, strong HRIS skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a mission-driven environment. This is a full-time, day-shift position based at corporate Oneida NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or related field.
• At least 3 years of progressively responsible HR experience; HR operations and HRIS experience a plus.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily workflow and operations of a dedicated, collaborative HR team.
• Serve as a trusted partner to department heads and managers on workforce needs, policies, and HR matters.
• Manage and approve staff evaluations and assessments.
• Partner with the VP of Human Resources to bring our people and talent strategy to life.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and a warm welcome for every new team member.
• Guide performance management and employee relations, escalating sensitive matters.

What You'll Do

• Manage the daily workflow and operations of a dedicated, collaborative HR team
• Serve as a trusted partner to department heads and managers on workforce needs, policies, and HR matters
• Manage and approve staff evaluations and assessments
• Partner with the Vice President, Human Resources to bring our people and talent strategy to life
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and a warm welcome for every new team member
• Guide performance management and employee relations, escalating sensitive matters to the Vice President, Human Resources
• Review performance and conduct concerns and recommend appropriate next steps, including separations, to the Vice President, Human Resources
• Be in charge of our HRIS, from system administration and data integrity to reporting and user support
• Train staff on management and supervisory programs that help our leaders grow
• Track HR metrics, share insights, and champion ideas that make our processes better
• Help keep our practices compliant with employment laws, policies, and recordkeeping requirements

Qualifications: What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least 3 years of progressively responsible HR experience; HR operations and HRIS experience is a plus
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
• Strong HRIS skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Integrity, sound judgment, and a deep respect for confidentiality

Physical Demands

• Regular standing and sitting for long periods of time
• Regular use of a computer, keyboard, telephone, and standard office equipment
• Ability to move throughout our facilities and visit departments and work areas
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times
