Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM seeks an experienced leader to oversee workforce lifecycle operations, develop staff, and drive data-informed performance across programs.

You will coordinate with Talent Acquisition, Security, HRIS, and payroll teams, implement dashboards and metrics, and manage capacity and risk while guiding teams through changes in processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and 3 years related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may apply.
• Experience with workforce operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee backgrounds, new-hire transactions, work locations and guests, and student and postdoctoral employment programs.
• Coach and develop staff across specialized teams, establish clear expectations, manage performance, and foster accountability and collaboration.
• Develop and interpret dashboards, scorecards, and operational trends to monitor cycle time, aging, backlog, quality, throughput, and capacity.
• Forecast workload, align staffing with demand, identify compliance and data-quality risks, and take timely corrective action.
• Use process mapping, root-cause analysis, and quality assurance to reduce delays, rework, and errors across workforce processes.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Security, HRIS, Compensation, Payroll, hiring organizations, and other institutional stakeholders.
• Coordinate interdependent initiatives, communicate data-driven recommendations to leadership, and guide teams through operational and system changes.
