Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a Deputy Division Leader for the Analytics, Intelligence and Technology Division in Los Alamos, NM. The role partners with the Division Leader to shape strategy, strengthen capabilities, and develop staff and infrastructure for national security challenges.

Lead across science, engineering, and operations, building trust with sponsors and ensuring safe, compliant execution while growing the division's capabilities for future mission needs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated scientific or technical excellence in one or more of A-Division's core competencies.
• Demonstrated success leading a large, complex technical organization, program, project, or experimental activity.
• Experience establishing priorities and allocating funding, facilities, and personnel.
• A record of advocacy, innovation, and commitment to scientific and engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Translate the Division's vision, strategy, priorities, and tactical plans with the Division Leader.
• Integrate people, capabilities, facilities, and programs to deliver current commitments.
• Build a culture of safety, quality, and mission assurance across programs and facilities.
• Oversee high-hazard and high-security activities in line with LANL requirements.
• Ensure operational risks are understood and properly controlled.
• Establish trust with customers and partners and communicate risks clearly.
• Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain exceptional technical and operational talent.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and an inclusive working environment.
• Address complex issues and resolve conflicts professionally.
