Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to perform HR administrative work for the U.S. Department of Energy's EERE office. The role supports recruitment, benefits, and policy interpretation under supervision and independently.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience or a high school diploma with 12+ years, with strong MS Office skills and excellent communication. Telework arrangements may change according to client needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years HR experience or high school diploma with 12+ years HR experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 2010 or newer.
  • Professional attitude.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and requirements.
  • Ability to perform sensitive tasks with discretion and tact.

Responsibilities

  • Support HR functions such as recruitment, classification review, compensation studies, employment analysis, and leave/benefits administration.
  • Collect and analyze data.
  • Track trends and developments in assigned HR areas.
  • Conduct studies, perform research, and prepare reports.
  • Review, interpret, and recommend policies.
  • Participate in working groups, councils, and committees.
  • Ensure compliance with DOE HR rules and regulations.
