Job summary

Acadian in Lafayette, LA is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to coordinate all pre-employment screens and onboarding activities, guiding new hires through the process.

This office-based role reports to the Human Resources Manager and requires strong communication, organization, and knowledge of hiring laws. Ability to coordinate with recruiting and maintain accurate personnel records is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience; HR experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of hiring laws related to employment.
• Familiarity with medical personnel job requirements.
• Experience using an Applicant Tracking System.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding with Recruiting Team for new hires.
• Identify onboarding procedures for efficiency and data completeness.
• Review background checks for all new hires.
• Schedule and review drug screens and physicals.
• Collect and verify required credentials and documentation.
• Schedule orientation and communicate expectations to new hires.
• Maintain personnel records and monthly reports on files.
• Assist with inquiries and support HR staff on projects.
