Job summary

Silver Bay Seafoods LLC is seeking a Human Resources Manager to partner with corporate and plant leadership, guiding all HR practices to foster an employee‑oriented, high‑performance culture.

You will manage staff scheduling related paperwork, handle grievances, drive training, disciplinary actions, and collaborate with corporate HR, Recruiting, and the EEX team to develop programs aligned with Alaska employment law and company policy. Travel to facilities will be required.

Qualifications

• Prior human resources experience is required.
• Seafood or similar industry experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, including a strong attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple high-priority tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS related systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead all HR practices and objectives at the plant and corporate levels.
• Manage staff scheduling related paperwork and employee records.
• Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions; provide coaching and counseling as needed.
• Develop training programs in coordination with Corporate HR, Recruiting, and EEX Team leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Alaska employment law, company policies, and risk minimization for the business.
• Provide advice to department managers and participate in corporate HR projects during off-season.
• Support unemployment claims and maintain facility-level employee files.
