Job summary

Dudley Land Company in Katy, TX is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead people operations for our group of companies. This is a hands-on leadership role with ownership of hiring, pay, benefits, and development, reporting directly to the President.

You will supervise an HR team, manage semi-monthly payroll across states, oversee benefits and 401(k), and ensure compliance with DOL, FLSA, ACA, and EEOC. A strong emphasis on staffing, onboarding, and employee relations drives the company

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 3+ years as an HR Manager or Generalist.
• Experience running payroll for a multi-state employer.
• Working knowledge of labor law: DOL, FLSA, ACA, EEOC, FMLA.
• Hands-on experience administering benefits and 401(k) plans.
• Leadership experience supervising a team and juggling concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR function end to end; advise managers and employees across multiple companies.
• Oversee payroll, compensation, benefits, and compliance to ensure FLSA and policy alignment.
• Partner with managers on staffing needs, posting openings, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Manage employee relations with discretion and fairness; address questions and disputes.
• Maintain policies and records; ensure compliance with employment regulations.
• Report to President and own HR strategy across affiliates.
