  • Oversees compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Oversees recruiting, interviewing, testing, selection, placement, and New Hire Orientation of new employees.
  • Implements special education, coaching, training, and professional development programs.
  • Coordinates the appraisal, transfer, promotion, layoff, recall, demotion, and termination of employees.
  • Administers compensation programs for both overtime ineligible and overtime eligible employees.
  • Administers employee benefit plans and programs and the disclosure of information concerning benefits to employees.
  • Implements appropriate constructive disciplinary and grievance procedures and ensuring that those policies or procedures do not alter the employment-at-will relationship or constitute a contract or promise that those policies and procedures will be followed in every case.
  • Builds positive employee relations, addressing concerns, and fostering a healthy work environment.
  • Maintains personnel records and evaluating personnel programs and policies.
  • Assists with creation, implementation, and oversight of employee corrective action plans.
  • Understands budgeting and cost management.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
