Job summary

Sims Crane & Equipment is seeking an HR Manager to shape company culture and ensure regulatory compliance across Tampa, FL. The role partners with leadership to drive talent management, engagement, and HR best practices.

The HR Manager will oversee recruitment, onboarding, policy administration, benefits, and HRIS, while tracking HR metrics and guiding organizational change. The ideal candidate has a strong HR background, US work authorization, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

HR MANAGER

Job Summary

This role is integral to shaping the company’s culture, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and implementing HR programs that support business goals. The HR Manager will work closely with leadership to drive organizational success through effective talent management, employee engagement, and HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy
    • ProviderecommendationsforHR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing guidance on workforce planning, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Talent Management
    • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and talent retention efforts to build a high-performing team.
    • Develop and execute training and development programs to enhance employee skills and growth.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement
    • Act as the point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Compliance and Policy Administration
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
    • Manage sensitive employee information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • HR Operations
    • Oversee benefits administrationand HRIS systems to ensure seamless operation
  • Monitor HR metrics and prepare reports to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
  • Lead and support organizational change efforts, including restructuring and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for business correspondence, policies, and procedures.

  • Thorough knowledge of employment and union related laws and regulations.

  • Proficiencywith HRIS and talent management software and systems.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related fieldrequiredand 5 years’ experience as an HRmanagerOR 10 years’ experience in a multi-discipline HR management role.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.
