Job summary

INDEVCO Plastics is seeking a Human Resources generalist to drive recruiting, onboarding, records maintenance, and employee relations in a manufacturing setting. You will administer benefits, track attendance, support payroll, and help develop talent while ensuring regulatory compliance and data accuracy.

The role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and organizational skills, with experience in HRIS and MS Office. A manufacturing background and SHRM-CP/PHR are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Industrial & Organizational Psychology, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years HR experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with employees and management.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or related certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive recruiting efforts for hourly and salaried positions, including posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating hiring activities.
  • Conduct new hire onboarding, orientation, and employment documentation.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure personnel files are accurate and up to date.
  • Serve as local point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR programs.
  • Engage in employee relations activities and assist in resolving workplace concerns.
  • Coordinate training programs and maintain training records.
  • Administer performance management processes and employee development initiatives.
  • Administer employee benefit enrollments and changes and respond to employee inquiries.
  • Track attendance, paid time off, and other employee-related records. Assist Corporate payroll processing.
  • Support employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and company events.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal and state employment laws.
  • Prepare HR reports and maintain HR metrics as requested.
  • Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and other pre-employment requirements.
  • Conduct separation processes, exit interviews, and related documentation.
  • Partner with managers and employees to promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Safety
  • Supports company safety programs including coordinating safety training, assisting in accident investigations, OSHA record keeping and workers compensation claims.
  • Disseminates safety and regulatory information within the facility.
  • Assists Plant leadership with safety inspections to recognize unsafe conditions or behaviors; provide training where needed.
  • May perform other safety duties as required with Plant growth & expansion.
Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial & Organizational Psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources experience; preferably a sole practitioner.
  • Manufacturing experience is strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
