Job summary

Newport Healthcare in Saint Cloud, MN, seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations in an in-office setting. You will partner with local leadership to uphold a culture of service, quality, and accountability while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws.

The role requires 7+ years in HR generalist roles, healthcare experience preferred, and familiarity with UKG. Occasional travel to other facilities is expected as part of program expansion.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of human resources generalist experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • PHR or Human Resources Certificate preferred.
  • Experience in health care and/or residential treatment preferred.
  • Subject matter expert on federal and state employment and wage-and-hour law.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission and state regulatory requirements for HR.
  • Experience with Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG).

  • Advises managers on employee issues and enforces fair treatment.
  • Maintains department records and reports in compliance with regulations.
  • Completes all HR reporting accurately and on time.
  • Participates in leadership and departmental meetings as needed.

Job description

What You’ll Do

The Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for carrying out the overall administration and coordination of the human resources function within the designated program/s and serves as a Business Partner for the local leadership team.

  • Collaborates with local leadership teams to create a culture of customer service, quality, integrity and accountability wherein employees are highly engaged and empowered to ensure clients are receiving superior treatment while in a safe and compassionate environment.
  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel within designated areas of responsibility; assists in the development, communication and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Executes the performance management plans within the company to ensure that all employees receive timely feedback at the designated intervals i.e., 90 days and annual reviews.
  • Responsible for setting up the HR day to day operations within a new location or in acquisition scenarios where needed.
  • Coordinates with Benefits Administrator to ensure that benefit information is communicated both timely and accurately.
  • Collaborates with HR colleagues on various initiatives within the company.
  • Ensures that all established training requirements are met for each employee.
  • Serves as a point of contact for employees who wish to address their concerns regarding their employment and works with management to resolve. Collaborates with the Executive Director, the Regional Director, the CHRO and/or Insperity on internal investigations as warranted.
  • Coaches and advises managers how to handle employee issues and ensures that all employees are treated fairly and consistently within the law. Recommends disciplinary action up to and including termination when necessary.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports in compliance with all regulatory and licensing bodies.
  • Completes all reporting requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Participates in leadership and departmental staff meetings and attends other meetings as needed.
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Seven (7) + years of human resources generalist experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
  • PHR or Human Resources Certificate preferred.
  • Experience in the health care industry and/or residential treatment field preferred.
  • Subject matter expert on federal and state specific employment and wage and hour law.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Joint Commission and state regulatory requirements as it relates to Human Resources.
  • Experience with Ultimate Kronos Group preferred.
  • Required to occasionally travel to other facilities, both by automobile and air therefore a current, valid driver’s license is required.

Salary range for this position is $94,000k to $110,000k, depending on education and experience.

Additional Details
