Socket.dev in Antwerp, OH is seeking a Human Resources Manager to partner with the Executive Vice President and leadership team, leading day-to-day HR, recruiting, employee relations, coaching, compliance, and process improvement to support business objectives.

The ideal candidate will coach leaders, develop talent, drive performance, ensure legal compliance, and advance a culture of accountability and continuous improvement while traveling up to 25% between locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
  • 5–8 years HR experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, recruiting, performance management, compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build credibility at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach leaders and handle sensitive employee matters.
  • Passion for developing people and improving culture.
  • Strong organizational skills with multi-priority handling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on employee relations, coaching, conflict resolution, performance management, and workplace issues.
  • Support leaders in building high-performing teams through coaching, feedback, accountability, and leadership development.
  • Lead recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and retention for hourly and salaried positions.
  • Coordinate employee training, professional development, succession planning, and career development initiatives.
  • Administer performance management processes, including goal setting and reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR practices.
  • Recommend improvements to HR processes, policies, and communications.
  • Manage compensation, benefits, and HRIS in partnership with internal/external resources.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives to strengthen culture and values.
  • Supervise and develop HR team members; foster service and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Operations, Sales, Quality, Finance to support business objectives.
  • Analyze HR metrics to inform hiring, turnover, engagement, and planning.
  • Participate as Leadership Team member in planning.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach leaders, solve problems, and handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Passion for developing people, improving culture, and supporting business growth.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% between company locations.

ABOUT THE JOB

As the Human Resources Manager, you will partner closely with the Executive Vice President and leadership team to support the organization's people strategy while leading the day-to-day Human Resources function. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for building strong relationships throughout the organization while driving consistent HR practices that support our employees and business objectives. You will serve as a trusted resource to leaders and employees, helping strengthen our culture through effective recruiting, employee relations, leadership coaching, talent development, compliance, and process improvement. The ideal candidate is an approachable, confident HR professional who enjoys solving problems, coaching leaders, improving processes, and building a positive workplace. This role offers the opportunity to grow into increased strategic responsibility as the organization continues to evolve.

YOUR ROLE:
