Ensures proper documentation from employees, supervisors, physicians, or other health care providers for completeness and eligibility. Approves or denies requests according to institutional policy and state and federal regulations.* Performs data entry and updates in Workday to maintain employee records, including but not limited to submitting electronic Workday actions, appropriate reports, and updates. Sets up, monitors, and tracks leave statuses. Utilizes systems to access attendance and leave data to compile and generate appropriate reports. Maintains archives and filing systems for active and inactive leaves.* Reviews and resolves escalated issues regarding the disposition of FMLA/LOA requests from employees. Explains policy and effectively communicates with managers and employees regarding the status of leave and return-to-work procedures. Collaborates with HR business partners and managers to resolve time-sensitive leave issues and clarify policy interpretations.* Administers the overall process for donor leave requests, including but not limited to ensuring adherence to UMMC donor leave policies, compliance with state regulations, eligibility determination, tracking time usage, and refunding unused time.* The duties listed are general in nature and are examples of the duties and responsibilities performed and are not meant to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
