Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. in Portland, OR seeks a Manager, Human Resources to lead people strategies for a multi-site portfolio. You will translate business priorities into workforce actions, coach leaders, and partner with Legal and stakeholders to ensure ethical outcomes.

You will administer performance management, use workforce analytics, shape talent strategies, and drive organizational change while maintaining confidentiality and strong business acumen. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, organizational development, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of progressive experience in HR, business operations, talent, learning & development, or related enablement function.
• Experience coaching and influencing leaders at varying levels and providing candid counsel.
• Translate business priorities into practical workforce, talent, organizational or operational actions.
• Experience using metrics, workforce analytics, and/or employee feedback to identify issues and measure impact.
• Designing or improving programs, processes, tools or experiences that increase organizational effectiveness.
• Handling sensitive people, performance or workplace matters with sound judgment and discretion.
• Direct experience serving as an HR or people advisor for a corporate function or local site.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, follow-through, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn HR systems.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Translate business priorities into practical people and organizational strategies to improve performance and growth.
• Provide guidance on employee relations matters, partnering with leaders and Legal to ensure ethical outcomes.
• Administer the performance management cycle and coach leaders to set expectations and provide feedback.
• Use workforce data and trends to identify risks and influence better decisions.
• Shape workforce plans, talent strategies, and development actions supporting business needs.
• Lead HR support for organizational change and sustain trust and effectiveness.
• Serve as the primary HR leader for the assigned office location with a dispersed client portfolio.
