Job summary

Sun Chemical is seeking an experienced HR & Labor Generalist to serve as the primary HR partner for its Northlake, Illinois manufacturing facility. You will work closely with operations leaders, employees, and union leadership to drive employee engagement, labor relations, and talent development.

As the site HR leader, you will support workforce planning, recruiting, retention, and succession planning, while leading employee relations and representing Sun Chemical in labor matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
• Experience in HR management and labor relations.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for the Northlake facility.
• Partner with site leadership on workforce planning and recruiting.
• Lead employee and labor relations activities with union leadership.
• Support talent acquisition for exempt and professional roles.
• Manage grievances, job bidding, and collective bargaining administration.
• Participate in labor contract negotiations and proposal development.
• Drive employee engagement and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
