Job summary

Benco Dental in Pittston, PA is seeking an HR Intern for Spring 2027 to support Culture & People initiatives. You will engage in recruitment, onboarding, HRIS, compensation, benefits, and engagement initiatives alongside experienced HR professionals.

This paid internship offers mentorship, networking, and potential full-time consideration in a family-owned, inclusive culture. The role emphasizes collaboration, process improvement, and real-world HR exposure in a leading US dental distributor

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at time of internship.
• Ability to work onsite in Pittston, PA as needed.
• Up to 20 hours per week.
• Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Culture & People HR functions including talent acquisition, retention, performance, HRIS, compensation, benefits, payroll, engagement, and projects.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, onboarding: sourcing, posting, reviewing applicants, scheduling interviews.
• Collaborate with HR professionals and gain exposure to HR operations in a live environment.
• Help manage health/wellness plans, retirement benefits, and leave of absence programs.
• Partner with Total Rewards on compensation projects and associate recognition initiatives.
• Support Diversity, Equity & Inclusion goals and HRIS projects.
• Coordinate culture and associate engagement activities across HR systems.
• Assist with continuous process improvement and documentation.

• Partner with the Total Rewards team on projects for compensation administration, community giveback/volunteer efforts (Benco's Community Boosters Committee), and associate recognition
• Support the organization's progress on its collective Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion goals
• Execute HRIS projects that support our implementation journey
• Facilitate and coordinate activities pertaining to Benco's culture and associate engagement
• Work in multiple Human Resources systems
• Assist with developing and implementing continuous improvement processes
• Maintain accuracy of and update employee personnel files
• Effectively communicate changes in company policies and procedures
• Assist team members and staff
• Support other day-to-day operations of the Culture & People (HR) Department
