Job summary

Gentherm is offering a Human Resources Intern program in Novi, Michigan, designed to give students hands-on experience in talent development, promotions, and recognition processes aligned with our business goals. The internship runs May 17, 2027 through August 6, 2027 and includes interaction with executives and participation in company events.

You will work on a cohort with other interns, completing a project tied to department goals and applying classroom knowledge to a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in school and have finished their freshman year by the start of the internship program.
• Familiar with Microsoft products, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Able to be on-site minimum of 4 days a week (up to 5) at our facilities in Novi, Michigan
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Labor Relations, or similar field
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Previous work experience in an office setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Career development / promotion planning: support talent development and compensation to develop a global process for functions/sites to facilitate planned promotions for progression roles (ex. Engineer I, II, Sr) in order to ensure equitable approaches to career planning across the organization.
• Design and develop materials to support a guide for leaders on standard processes, including promotions, career planning, and performance management. Work with the HR team to identify processes, draft documentation, and develop promotional campaigns and other communication tools to support manager utilization.
• Recognition: collect recognition activities (spot, service, etc.) across businesses to develop a standard recognition approach and process. Evaluate recognition providers to support a standard recognition delivery model.
