Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Human Resources Intern for a paid, 11-week summer program in Stamford, CT. You will work with the HR team, supporting recruiting, payroll, onboarding, and development initiatives while gaining exposure to a nationwide telecommunications organization.

As a Master’s student, you will join two teams—HR and intern cohort—participating in a mix of department projects and professional development activities. The program runs May 26 through August 6, 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be a Master’s student with an expected graduation date in May 2028.
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a Master’s degree.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA in current program.
• Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Support the Spectrum News HR team, serving as a strategic partner to newsroom leaders and liaison across recruiting, payroll and development.
• Assist with onboarding/orientation activities for new hires and support learning & development initiatives.
• Compile HR metrics and prepare reports using MS Office; research industry trends and best practices; provide administrative support for the HR team.
