Job summary

Western National Insurance Group invites you to join our Summer 2027 Internship Program as a Human Resources Intern in Edina, MN. You will support talent acquisition, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and day-to-day HR operations through hands-on projects.

You’ll gain practical HR experience, work with a supportive team, and contribute to company initiatives while developing professional skills in a real-world setting.

Qualifications

• Currently working toward a degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• Clear written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills.
• High degree of discretion/confidentiality.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently as part of a team.
• Ability to work onsite at our corporate office in Edina, MN.

Responsibilities

• Participate in HR projects/work teams supporting organizational initiatives.
• Create and distribute companywide communications.
• Create and develop HR training guides and templates.
• Assist with maintaining multi-state compliance tools.
• Maintain a list of active job descriptions and partner with leaders for accuracy.
• Provide support to Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Wellbeing, and other HR areas.
• Perform general clerical tasks for the department.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and matters.
