Job summary

Marathon Petroleum LP offers HR internship opportunities for graduate students to gain meaningful hands‑on experience in human resources. Interns will work alongside HR Business Partners on projects and routine tasks, contributing to key processes across performance management, employee relations, compensation, recruiting, and training.

Some internships may be placed in a Center of Excellence such as Talent Acquisition or Learning & Organizational Development.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a graduate program for HR or Labor & Industrial Relations.
• Strong academic performance.
• Authorized to work in the US on a full‑time indefinite basis without visa sponsorship.
• Valid driver's license.
• Concurrent enrollment for duration of the internship.
• Military experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support HR Business Partner teams on projects and daily activities.
• Contribute to performance management, employee relations, compensation, recruiting, training and development.
• Assist with diversity initiatives, policy administration, data analysis, workforce planning and community relations.
• Possible assignment to a Center of Excellence (CoE) such as Talent Acquisition or Learning & Organizational Development.
