Job summary

Flatiron Construction Corp in Houston, TX seeks a Human Resources Generalist to be the cornerstone of the district leadership team, delivering talent attraction, employee relations, and total rewards while ensuring legal compliance.

In this role you will forecast resourcing needs with business leaders, coordinate onboarding, support talent acquisition, manage immigration matters with legal guidance, and develop HR trainings across districts and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR management, business administration, or related field.
• 1+ years of related HR experience.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• PHR certification preferred.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Ability to influence with or without authority at all levels of the business.
• Strong time-management skills under tight deadlines.
• Developing critical-thinking and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Maintain confidentiality over employment records and inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Forecast resourcing needs with business leaders and track active job status.
• Assist talent acquisition with screening and interview coordination.
• Coordinate onboarding access and activities for new hires and transfers.
• Investigate employee relations issues with legal/compliance guidance.
• Conduct exit interviews using company processes.
• Collaborate with legal counsel on immigration matters for compliance.
• Develop and implement HR trainings across district or project topics.
• Schedule HR trainings on systems, performance, and compensation evaluation.
• Document and track employee data changes through prescribed workflows.
• Identify training opportunities and implement solutions.
