Job summary

A healthcare organization in Omaha is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support core HR functions including recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, 3+ years of HR experience, and strong knowledge of employment laws. This full-time position offers a salary between $46,000 and $60,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support recruitment processes including job postings and candidate screening.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies.
• Maintain and update HRIS and personnel files in accordance with standards.
• Assist in benefits administration including enrollments and communications.
• Support compensation processes including data entry and benchmarking.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Provide support to new hire orientation and conduct offboarding.
• Participate in employee relations activities and support conflict resolution.
• Assist with performance reviews and merit increases.
• Assist in the development and communication of HR policies.

Skills

Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS)

Familiarity with compensation analysis and benefits administration

High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethics

Willingness to pursue HR knowledge

Strong critical thinking skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

3+ years of experience in Human Resources department

PHR or SHRM-CP certification
