Job summary

Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC) in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a detail‑oriented HR Generalist to support the Director of HR and help build a full-service HR function. The role covers onboarding, benefits, compliance, HRIS maintenance, and policy development, reporting to the Director of HR.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of HR experience, familiarity with ADP WFN, and a strong grasp of California employment laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of HR experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of progressive human resources experience.
• Knowledge of California and federal employment laws.
• Experience with employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, onboarding, and HRIS management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain discretion over sensitive organization and employee information.
• Partner with HR leadership to assist with candidate selection, onboarding, and offboarding tasks.
• Process HR transactions in HR systems (new hires, status changes, promotions, terminations).
• Respond to routine HR questions regarding benefits and PTO.
• Maintain employee files and profiles in ADP WFN.
• Administer benefits, COBRA, and Open Enrollment processes.
• Investigate harassment, discrimination, and other HR-related matters.
• Communicate effectively with employees, managers, and leadership at all levels.
• Adapt quickly in a dynamic workplace and drive projects to completion.
