Job summary

Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America is seeking an HR Specialist in Franklin, MA. This role supports payroll, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and employee inquiries across a 3-shift operation with events and training as needed.

The position requires 1–3 years HR experience, a high school diploma (undergraduate HR preferred), and strong MS Office skills. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Undergraduate degree and/or HR coursework preferred.
• 1–3 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist role.
• Certification and/or license may be required during employment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR processes.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll transactions and maintain accuracy.
• Perform recruiting activities including resume screening and coordinating interviews.
• Assist HR with onboarding and new hire paperwork (I-9, E-Verify).
• Coordinate benefits enrollment and open enrollment processes.
• Maintain employee files and respond to HR inquiries.
• Support employee engagement and recognition programs.
• Coordinate training and attendance at monthly DairyU meetings.
• Complete unemployment claims within required timelines.
