Job summary

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to manage a range of HR activities, from payroll and time reporting to recruiting and employee relations, with a focus on compliance and service excellence.

This 100% full-time Civil Service 5020 position offers responsibilities across HRIS, appointments management, development support, and policy adherence, with a start date as soon as possible and a salary between $60,000 and $65,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Administration, Management, Organizational Administration, Public Administration, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• Two (2) years (24 months) of work experience performing professional-level human resources duties.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll and timesheets, including summer salary.
• Address complex timesheet/leave issues and return timesheets/leave requests.
• Process routine and non-routine pay adjustments.
• Administer and track FMLA, PFLA, or other managed leave categories.
• Counsel and resolve issues related to leave and inform staff of regulations.
