Chartwells Higher Education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio is hiring an HR Generalist to support onboarding, recruitment, policy compliance and HR reporting. The role leads hourly hiring initiatives, conducts training, and assists with performance appraisals, ensuring internal equity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred.
• Two+ years HR generalist experience required.
• Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience responding to common HR inquiries from employees.
• Strong communication and presentation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees hourly recruitment and onboarding.
• Ensures all Company HR related policies are applied consistently and compliance with all federal and state laws.
• Regularly runs and/or reviews HR activity reports.
• Attends department manager meetings, conducts classroom training, new hire orientation, and provides assistance with the implementation of HR initiatives.
• Prepares, coordinates and presents HR related topics and other HR related training.
• Reviews any request for pay increases or other status changes to ensure internal equity and consistency. Process status change forms.
• Participates in the Annual Performance Appraisal process.
