Job summary

The Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support the HR department’s day-to-day operations from our Washington, DC location. Responsibilities include onboarding, payroll data accuracy, benefits enrollment, and maintaining compliance with employment laws and policies.

The role emphasizes hiring support, training coordination, and maintaining personnel records, with a salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 annually depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR operations and administrative tasks.
• Coordinate and schedule employee trainings and onboarding activities.
• Maintain personnel, I-9, and medical files in compliance with laws.
• Assist benefits enrollment, payroll data, and timekeeping accuracy.
• Respond to inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.
