Job summary

The University of Florida is seeking an HR Generalist I for the College of Medicine on Main Campus in Gainesville, FL. The role provides transactional and operational HR support, including onboarding, employment actions, and compliance activities.

You will collaborate with COM-HR teams and department partners to ensure timely processing and excellent customer service. The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with duties spanning onboarding, verifications, and HR

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area or equivalent experience.
• Experience handling onboarding, employment transactions, and compliance.
• Ability to maintain accurate employee records and support audits.

Responsibilities

• Provide onboarding and employment transaction support for housestaff and grads.
• Process routine HR actions: hires, changes, additional pay, terminations.
• Maintain HR records and support compliance reviews and audits.
• Assist payroll distribution and funding requests.
• Coordinate with COM-HR Transaction Team during high volume periods.
