Job summary

City of Atlanta is seeking an Human Resources Generalist within the Public Works unit of the Department of Human Resources. The role provides hands-on HR business partner support, coordinates with COEs, and aids in implementing HR initiatives and policies.

Under the HR Manager, you will perform day-to-day HR functions and serve as a primary contact when the HR Manager is unavailable. The position requires coordinating with supervisors and staff to ensure compliant and efficient HR processes,

Qualifications

• Associate degree in human resources, business, or public administration; seven years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of paraprofessional HR experience.
• Experience with HRIS systems, especially Oracle, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR business partner support to the assigned operating unit.
• Coordinate with COEs to implement HR initiatives, policies and procedures.
• Assist in day-to-day HR functions and act as a resource for supervisors and staff.
• Support recruitment, offers, onboarding, and personnel transactions.
• Assist in coaching leadership and communicating HR policies and regulations.
