Job summary

Roof Penetration Housing (RPH) seeks an HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations across New Jersey and Texas locations, including onboarding, payroll support, benefits, and HRIS administration. You'll work closely with the Director of Human Resources to ensure compliance and current processes.

This full-time, in-office role reports to the Director of HR and offers growth exposure across the HR function as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Degree in HR/Business or equivalent experience
• Strong discretion handling confidential information
• Fundamentals of HR: benefits, leave, payroll, records, compliance
• Experience supporting employees in multiple states; New Jersey and Texas exposure is a plus
• 2–4 years as HR Generalist or similar role in startup/high-growth
• Experience with HRIS (BambooHR or similar), ATS, and Microsoft ecosystem; NetSuite/PEO a bonus
• Willingness to grow with a fast-scaling company

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for policy, benefits, payroll, time off, and HR systems
• Own HRIS accuracy, including employee records and onboarding workflows
• Run onboarding and offboarding end to end
• Coordinate recruiting with Talent Acquisition Specialist
• Prepare, audit, and submit payroll changes with HR and Finance
• Administer benefits including open enrollment and leave administration
• Maintain compliance recordkeeping and handbook acknowledgments
• Audit and update HR processes with Director of HR
• Document employee relations matters and support investigations
• Partner with Operations on OSHA records and safety documentation
• Compile recurring HR reporting on headcount, turnover, PTO liability
