This is a great opportunity for an early-career HR professional to gain broad, hands‑on experience in payroll, onboarding, and employee relations while working closely with corporate HR, property teams and regional leadership.

This is an on‑site position based out of our regional/corporate office.

Responsibilities of this Position
Payroll Support
  • Assist with processing bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for employees across all 25 communities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Track and verify hours, PTO, and other pay-related data submitted by site teams
  • Help resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee pay questions
  • Maintain accurate payroll records in compliance with company policy and applicable law
Onboarding
  • Coordinate new hire paperwork, background checks, and orientation logistics for new team members across the portfolio
  • Set up new employees in HR/payroll systems and ensure a smooth first-day experience
  • Serve as a point of contact for new hires during their first weeks, answering benefits and policy questions
  • Maintain onboarding checklists and ensure required documentation is complete and compliant
Employee Relations
  • Serve as an approachable first point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and general HR matters.
  • Help document and elevate employee relations concerns to the HR Manager/Director as needed
  • Support consistent application of company policies across all communities
  • Assist with maintaining employee files and ensuring recordkeeping compliance
General HR Support
  • Help maintain accurate employee data across HR systems
  • Assist with HR-related reporting and audits
  • Support other HR projects and initiatives as needed
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • 0–2 years of HR, payroll, or administrative experience (internships welcome)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive/confidential information
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to support multiple locations at once
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working with HRIS and payroll systems (training provided)
  • A proactive, friendly, and people first customer-service mindset — you enjoy helping people and solving problems
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to elevate issues
What We Offer
  • Competitive pay, based on experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision)
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Opportunities for growth within a growing multifamily organization
