Job summary

Chapa-De is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the employee lifecycle across our Auburn, CA community health center. You’ll partner with supervisors on employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, and coaching to elevate the experience.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in HR, including HRIS experience and knowledge of California wage-and-hour laws. This full-time role offers a collaborative team and a mission-driven work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in HR.
• 3–5 years in employee relations, leaves, accommodations, workers’ compensation, and performance management.
• HRIS experience with applied system knowledge.
• Working knowledge of California and federal wage-and-hour laws.
• Strong communication and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Partner with supervisors and employees on employee relations, performance management, policies, engagement, and coaching.
• Manage leaves of absence and accommodations, ensuring legal compliance.
• Coach leaders on employee relations and develop engagement and retention strategies.
• Lead HR projects such as investigations, compensation analysis, job descriptions, training, and engagement.
• Use HR data, metrics, and technology to identify opportunities and recommend improvements.
