Job summary

The Village of St Edward is a not-for-profit long-term care community seeking an HR Generalist to join our team. The role supports employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, investigations, performance management, policy compliance, and employee engagement across multiple Ohio sites including Fairlawn and Wadsworth.

The successful candidate will counsel managers, manage sensitive employee matters, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to organizational culture and PCC initiatives within

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in HR, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 2-5 years of progressive HR experience preferred; healthcare setting preferred.
• PHR or SHRM-CP preferred; strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary resource for management and employees regarding workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
• Counsel and coach managers on handling performance issues, documentation, and corrective action processes.
• Participate in disciplinary discussions, investigations, and terminations.
• Support onboarding processes, new hire orientation, and employee recognition programs.
• Administer FMLA, short-term and long-term disability, ADA accommodations, and other leave programs.
