Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Hobbs, NM seeks an HR professional to partner with business leaders, manage recruitment, investigations, and performance management, while upholding regulatory compliance. The role supports employee relations and wellness initiatives across the property.

Requires a Bachelor's in HR or related field; two years HR/supervisory experience; PHR preferred; strong MS Office and HRIS experience; ability to work across organizational levels and support a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years HR or supervisory experience preferred.
• PHR certification preferred.
• Experience with labor environments and union contracts preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; iCIMS and UltiPro a plus.
• Ability to work with multiple levels of the organization to influence culture.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational and presentation abilities; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Partners with HR Business Partners to meet department needs.
• Supports recruitment efforts with Talent Acquisition.
• Conducts investigations for grievances, harassment, or EEOC issues.
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to leadership.
• Improves work relationships, morale, productivity and retention.
• Conducts exit interviews and reports patterns to management.
• Assists with unemployment claims handling.
• Facilitates training programs (New Hire Orientation, Customer Service, supervisory training).
• Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
• Attends training and meetings as required.
• Analyzes HR data to inform strategy (turnover, engagement).
• Assists with engagement, wellness and retention events.
• Promotes superior customer service and maintains confidentiality.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and reports issues.
