Job summary

The University Of Chicago seeks a People Services Generalist in the BSD HR/AA team to support Faculty employment life cycle, from recruitment to onboarding and offboarding, reports and engagement activities. You will work with leaders to provide day-to-day HR support with confidentiality and initiative.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years' related experience; knowledge of Workday and HR processes; strong communication and problem solving; you'll contribute to process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of relevant HR experience.
• HR certification preferred (e.g., SHRM, HRCI).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key resource to BSD staff on HR matters.
• Coordinate reports on compliance and HR metrics using Workday.
• Support faculty recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Assist with visas and international affairs coordination.
• Maintain HR data and records with confidentiality.
• Contribute to employee engagement and training activities.
