This position is located in Department of Correction Central Office.
A Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) screening will be conducted prior to employment.

Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to three years of professional human resources work.
Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in human resources administration or other related acceptable fields may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of one year.
Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time professional or paraprofessional human resources experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.
The TDOC Human Resources & Staff Development Divisions are responsible for the oversight of all human capital management functions for over 6,000 employees located across the state. These areas include, but are not limited to, employee relations and engagement, compensation, employee health and safety, professional development programs, employee wellness, worker¿s compensation, training, and the Tennessee Correction Academy.
The Human Resources Generalist will provide the full range of human resources services to staff, including human resources transactions, onboarding, orientation, time and attendance, records management, and extended leave. Individuals selected are expected to create and maintain positive working relationships with employees, managers/supervisors, and executive leadership within their respective areas.
The Human Resources Generalist will serve as the HR representative serving our Central Office staff.
