Position Summary

Our client is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support the daily administration of key HR programs and processes.

This position will provide support across multiple areas of Human Resources, including recruitment, onboarding, HR information systems, benefits administration, employee leaves, payroll coordination, employee records, compliance, employee relations, and special projects.

The ideal candidate combines hands‑on HR administrative experience with strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. This individual must be comfortable managing confidential information, assisting employees and managers, and handling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced work environment.

  • Manage job postings throughout their lifecycle, including creating, publishing, updating, and closing open positions.
  • Support the recruitment process by reviewing applications, conducting initial interviews, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and collecting required employment documentation.
  • Distribute qualified applicants to hiring managers and coordinate recruitment efforts with external employment agencies and other sourcing partners.
  • Coordinate pre‑employment requirements, including background checks, employment eligibility documentation, Form I‑9 review, and E‑Verify processing.
  • Support new‑hire onboarding and orientation activities to promote an organized and positive employee experience.
  • Process employee transactions in HR information systems, including hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, leave records, organizational changes, and employee profile updates.
  • Assist employees and managers with access to HR platforms, systems, and self‑service tools.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with company policies and applicable record‑retention requirements.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc HR reports, data files, workforce metrics, and key performance indicator analyses.
  • Compile and validate employee information needed for payroll processing, including leave payments, final payments, incentives, bonuses, and other authorized compensation changes.
  • Support the administration of employee referral, recognition, and engagement programs.
  • Assist with employee communications and publish HR‑related announcements through internal communication platforms.
  • Receive, document, and process employee leave requests, including FMLA, maternity, military, bereavement, and other applicable leaves.
  • Follow up with employees regarding missing leave documentation, required notices, deadlines, and return‑to‑work requirements.
  • Support occupational injury or workers’ compensation‑related processes in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Administer employee benefit transactions, including enrollments, terminations, coverage changes, and employee status updates.
  • Communicate employee eligibility and coverage changes to benefit providers or brokers, as applicable.
  • Assist with the monthly reconciliation of benefit invoices and research discrepancies as needed.
  • Explain Human Resources policies, procedures, benefits, employment practices, and applicable workplace requirements to employees and managers.
  • Receive and appropriately elevate employee relations concerns, workplace complaints, harassment allegations, and other sensitive matters to the designated Human Resources leader.
  • Gather, organize, and provide documentation related to employee relations, unemployment, legal, or compliance matters.
  • Prepare and submit required new‑hire, unemployment, employment status, and other government‑related documentation.
  • Prepare employee correspondence, including leave notices, requests for documentation, employment status communications, and job abandonment notifications.
  • Collaborate with other HR functions, department leaders, Finance, Legal, and external service providers to complete assigned processes and projects.
  • Protect the confidentiality of employee and organizational information at all times.
  • Perform other Human Resources duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A combination of education, training, and relevant Human Resources experience equivalent to at least four (4) years.
  • Previous experience supporting multiple Human Resources functions in a generalist, coordinator, or administrative capacity.
  • Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), applicant tracking systems, or talent management platforms.
  • Working knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits, leaves, payroll support, and employment compliance.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple assignments within established deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with sound judgment and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with ADP or a comparable HRIS or payroll platform.
  • Experience supporting HR operations within a multisite or high‑volume work environment.
  • Familiarity with Form I‑9, E‑Verify, FMLA, unemployment documentation, benefits administration, and applicable employment requirements.
  • Experience preparing HR reports, analyzing workforce metrics, and reconciling employee benefit information.
