POSITION OVERVIEW

RIVA is seeking an HR Generalist to support and enhance the programs that shape the employee journey from onboarding through career development. This role serves as a contributor to learning and development initiatives, employee recognition programs, performance management processes, and the overall RIVA Employee Experience. This role will partner with business leaders and employees across the organization to fulfill initiatives that strengthen our culture, reinforce RIVA’s values, and support employee growth.

This position is based in Reston, VA, and is primarily remote, with trips to our headquarters 2-4 times a month. We are looking for someone who can bring flexibility to their schedule to meet the needs of the team as they arise.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Onboarding

• Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, coordinating onboarding and offboarding through UKG, including new hire setup, employee documentation, system access, training assignments, orientation, and separation paperwork in partnership with managers, IT, and Operations.


• Deliver and continuously improve the employee onboarding experience, ensuring new hires receive a welcoming introduction to RIVA’s culture, values, programs, resources, and expectations while coordinating onboarding communications, training, and buddy activities.


• Support broader employee lifecycle and engagement programs, including milestone recognition, career development initiatives.


• Document, implement, and refine HR workflows, employee-facing processes, templates, and SOPs, using onboarding/offboarding metrics and employee feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.

Learning & Development

• Coordinate and administer RIVA's learning and development programs, including training calendars, communications, registrations, and completion tracking.


• Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of employee development programs and learning paths.


• Facilitate select training sessions and coordinate external learning providers and resources.


• Maintain learning content, training materials, and employee development resources.


• Measure training effectiveness through participation data, employee feedback, and program metrics.
  

Performance Management Support

• Administer performance management processes, including cycle communications, system support, training coordination, and reporting.


• Maintain performance management resources, guides, and communications.


• Track participation and completion rates and follow up with employees and managers as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


• 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Management, Learning & Development, or a related discipline.


• Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines such as onboarding, compliance, benefits, and learning and development.


• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.


• Technical aptitude with HR and talent systems, including the ability to configure workflows, forms, reporting, and processes to improve the employee experience and support business needs.


• Strong organizational and task-tracking skills with the ability to prioritize under pressure.
  

The salary or salary range for this role reflects an estimated range informed by multiple compensation factors. Final offers may vary based on considerations such as relevant experience, education and training, critical skillsets, and overall business needs.

Pay range

$120,000 - $130,000 USD
