Job summary

URBN is seeking an HR Generalist to support site HR functions including data management, performance reviews, onboarding, benefits, and training compliance. You will coach managers, handle employee relations, and ensure records and payroll validations are accurate and audits are passed.

The role involves facilitating engagement activities, coordinating leadership sessions, and collaborating with Talent Acquisition on recruitment while staying current on employment laws and URBN policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required.
  • 1-3 years of direct human resource generalist experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Ability to understand and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards.
  • SHRM-CP (Preferred).
  • Bi-lingual (English-Spanish) (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate site HR functions: data management, performance management, and benefits administration.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training and safety/anti-harassment requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, payroll validation, and audits.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Coach and support managers on disciplinary matters and investigations.
  • Manage employee relations investigations and unemployment claims responses.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement activities.
  • Plan roundtables and leadership connect sessions for insights.
  • Communicate HR changes with site leaders and network HR teams.
  • Participate in network-wide Supply Chain HR projects.
  • Support recruitment efforts with talent acquisition and onboarding.
  • Stay informed on HR trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies.
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws and uphold URBN policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Facilitate site HR functions, including data management, performance management, talent development, benefits administration, leave requests, and employee engagement.
• Ensure compliance with mandatory network training, continuing education, including safety training and anti-harassment training.
• Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, including processing invoices, payroll validation and audit.
• Conduct new hire orientation and actively participate in the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
• Coach and support managers, supervisors, and associates, providing guidance on disciplinary matters, investigations, and terminations while adhering and upholding all URBN policies and procedures.
• Manage employee relations investigations, workplace accommodation requests and unemployment claims responses.
• Develop and implement employee engagement activities to promote company culture and drive employee morale.
• Plan & execute round tables and leadership connect sessions to gather insight from leaders and non-exempt employees regularly.
• Contribute to the development of communication and information flow within the organization; partner with site leaders and network HR leaders to communicate upcoming HR related changes/updates.
• Participate in assigned network-wide Supply Chain HR projects.
• Collaborate with talent acquisition and site leaders to support recruitment efforts, understanding skill requirements, and facilitating the onboarding process.
• Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies related to HR functions.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, uphold policies and processes to ensure site alignment with network best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
