Job summary

COMFORT SQUAD LLC in Omaha, NE seeks an experienced Human Resources Generalist to manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and HR records. You will ensure compliance with employment laws, coordinate benefits and leave processes, and act as a trusted advisor to managers on performance and disciplinary matters.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: postings, screening, interviews, and offers.
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and required training.
  • Maintain employee files and HR records per regulations.
  • Administer benefits, leaves, and workers' compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, healthcare rules, and company policies.
  • Serve as point of contact for HR questions.
  • Assist managers with performance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Support engagement, recognition, and retention programs.
  • Coordinate annual performance reviews and evaluations.
  • Monitor caregiver credentials, certifications, and background checks.
  • Assist payroll prep: verify information, timekeeping, status changes.
  • Develop and update HR policies and handbook materials.
  • Generate HR reports and maintain confidential data.
  • Participate in HR projects and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and extending offers.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and required training.
  • Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HR records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Administer employee benefits, leave requests, and workers' compensation claims.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, healthcare regulations, and company policies.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace concerns.
  • Assist managers with employee performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and documentation.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts.
  • Coordinate annual performance reviews and employee evaluations.
  • Monitor and maintain required caregiver credentials, certifications, and background checks.
  • Assist with payroll preparation by verifying employee information, timekeeping, and status changes.
  • Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook materials.
  • Generate HR reports and maintain confidential employment data.
  • Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
