ASE is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide hands-on support across payroll and HR administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, on-boarding and employee programs.
This is a broad HR role for someone who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day operation of an HR function while also helping improve processes, employee service, and organizational effectiveness.
Job Duties:
Recruiting & Talent Support
- Coordinate hiring activity from initial staffing needs through selection and new-hire integration.
- Work with managers to define position requirements and develop effective recruiting approaches.
- Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, offers, and pre-employment activities.
- Maintain recruiting activity and provide updates on open positions and hiring progress.
HR Operations
- Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers regarding company practices, policies, benefits, and employment-related questions.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, status changes, and departures.
- Maintain accurate employee information and confidential HR documentation.
- Assist with employee relations matters, internal programs, training activities, and special HR projects.
Payroll and Compensation Programs
- Support recurring payroll and compensation activities, ensuring information is complete, accurate, and properly documented.
- Review employee data and compensation-related changes and work with internal partners to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with reporting, reconciliations, audits, and other periodic payroll activities.
- Coordinate employee leave, accommodation, and return-to-work processes in accordance with applicable requirements and company practices.
- Assist with employment-related claims, compliance requests, and required documentation.
HR Systems & Compliance
- Maintain employee information within HR and related business systems.
- Help ensure personnel records and required documentation remain current and accurate.
- Monitor changes affecting HR administration and assist with updating procedures and communications.
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve the employee experience.
Qualifications:
- 3 – 5 years of progressive HR experience and hands-on experience with all aspects of payroll processing.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a similar course of study; or equivalent relevant experience.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience with onboarding, employee record keeping, leave administration and talent acquisition.
- Knowledge of employment practices and HR legal compliance requirements.
- Experience working with payroll systems, HRIS and other applications.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organization, follow-through, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion and sound judgment.
