Job summary

Asset Living is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to create, update, and apply HR policies and guidelines, ensuring compliance with laws and standards. The role reports to the VP of Human Resources and oversees onboarding, payroll, benefits, and leave, while enforcing company policies and practices.

Key duties include training supervisors, maintaining HR documentation, ensuring system access, staff transfers, background checks, and HR-relations responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience preferred
  • PHR or SPHR certified preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Trains new or newly promoted supervisors – managers should be trained in applicable HR systems within 10 working days
  • Keeps training, HR, documents/links/forms, etc. up to date in Sharepoint
  • Ensures managers/supervisors have correct access to systems – Payroll, ATS, etc.in company PEO system
  • Assists with employee transfers, employee allowance additions in company’s PEO
  • Assists with background screenings and determining if exceptions are acceptable
  • Assists the HR Department with special projects
  • Responsible for HR employee relations including intake, resolve, delegation, and corrective actions as needed
  • Onboards new employees
  • Sets up new properties and offboards canceled properties in HR system
  • Handles internal customer service complaints

HR Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for creating, updating, and applying all HR policies and company guidelines and making sure they adhere to standards and laws initiated by authorities. The Human Resources Generalist will report directly to the VP, Human Resources and assist in leading and directing the routine functions of the HR department including employee onboarding, payroll, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

This compensation range is specific to the remote nature of this position and includes the range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; etc. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would be near the top end of the compensation range, but that decision will be dependent on the facts associated with each specific individual’s relevant experience for the role. A reasonable estimate of the range is below.
