Job summary

Topaz HR is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support Carteret, NJ operations in a packaging, manufacturing, distribution and supply-chain setting. This role collaborates with employees and management across operational, warehouse, and administrative teams to support employee relations, performance management, onboarding, compliance, leave administration, and general HR operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or high-volume operations preferred.
• Strong employee relations, investigation, and performance management experience.
• Working knowledge of federal and New Jersey employment laws.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with sound judgment.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

• Advise managers on performance management, attendance, policy interpretation, and employee communication.

• Coordinate employee leaves, accommodations, workers' compensation, and benefits-related matters.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS information, and HR documentation.
• Support employee engagement, retention, training, and workforce initiatives.
• Ensure HR practices remain consistent with applicable federal, New Jersey, and local employment requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

• $65,000–$95,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
• Full‑time position based in Carteret, NJ
