The National September 11 Memorial & Museum seeks a Director, HR Employee Relations Partner in New York. This hybrid role requires in-office presence three days per week and partnerships with senior HR leadership to address people priorities across onsite teams.

Responsibilities include handling complex employee relations matters, leading investigations, advising managers, coordinating accommodations, and ensuring policy compliance while driving organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a business partner or employee relations role.
• Experience independently conducting and documenting workplace investigations.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations practices, performance management, accommodations, and employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted HR advisor to assigned business units.
• Partner with leaders to translate business needs into people strategies.
• Independently manage complex employee relations matters and investigations.
• Coach managers on performance, conduct, and policy implementation.
• Manage workplace accommodation process and interactive discussions.
• Identify HR trends and develop practical solutions.
• Provide policy guidance and ensure compliance with employment laws.
• Build credible relationships with employees and leaders.
