The City of Santa Clara’s Human Resources Department seeks an experienced HR Division Manager to oversee Recruitment, Classification and Compensation. This leadership role requires collaboration with city departments, strategic planning, and strong ethics.

The incumbent will supervise a team, drive innovative recruitment strategies, and ensure equitable compensation practices while maintaining compliance with Civil Service Rules and employment laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in human resources with at least two (2) years in supervisory/managerial roles.
• License/Certifications: CA Class C driver's license at appointment and during employment.
• Master’s degree is desirable; HR Certification is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead citywide recruitment and selection, developing strategies to attract a diverse workforce.
• Partner with hiring departments to address staffing needs and streamline processes.
• Direct classification and compensation studies, salary surveys, and market comparisons.
• Advise executive management on complex recruitment, classification, and compensation matters.
• Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring compliance with laws and city policies.
