Job summary

Mat-Su Health Foundation seeks a Director of Human Resources to lead HR operations, benefits administration, compliance, and talent acquisition. Reporting to the CAO, this role drives employee engagement, policy adherence, and strategic HR initiatives in a lean organization.

The ideal candidate blends execution with strategic thinking, maintaining exceptional employee experience while escalating sensitive issues to the CAO as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field.
• 5+ years progressive HR experience; HR generalist or HR department of one preferred.
• Strong benefits administration, HR compliance, recruiting, and employee engagement experience.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and ATS.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer all employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, 401(k)).
• Lead benefits enrollment, broker relations, and benefits data analytics for CAO decisions.
• Develop and execute employee engagement programs and recognition initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local employment laws and maintain policies and handbook.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment from job postings to onboarding and talent pipeline.
• Oversee HRIS data integrity, reporting, and leave management processes.
• Provide HR support, analytics, and dashboards for decision making.
